EARLIER CHAPTERS / ARTIST & DJ

Outside his full-time position as architect of the Meaningwave universe, Akira the Don retains his title as "the world's greatest open-format DJ," honed during a legendary run playing 5 nights a week on Hollywood Boulevard for close to a decade, where his uniformly transcendent sets, borne of a deep musical knowledge and unmatched skill for live remixing and editing became the stuff of legend. You might be lucky enough to catch one of those in the flesh, or even streamed live on his YouTube channel.

Review draft — 11 October 2026. The hosting provider, retention periods and newsletter measurement settings must be confirmed before publication.

Who we are and how to contact us

Meaningwave operates the Akira The Don artist website and its Wave List signup. Our business mailing address is:

Meaningwave
1309 Coffeen Ave
Sheridan, WY 82801
United States

For questions or requests about your information, contact enquiries@meaningwave.com or write to the address above. Meaningwave’s separate shop and external platforms have their own notices.

Email updates and enquiries

Signing up is optional. The form asks for your email address so Akira The Don / Meaningwave can send you new music, special events, merchandise news and exclusive offers. Choosing “Sign Me Up” requests these emails; it is not a condition of browsing the website. You can withdraw this request using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Your submission goes directly to our existing Kit form. Kit handles the subscription and its confirmation process; the website does not keep a separate subscriber database. Kit may process subscription records and technical information such as your IP address for operating and securing the service. Its Data Processing Addendum describes its processing for newsletter creators. Its privacy policy covers its own services and usage data. Email open/click measurement and any extra subscriber profiling must be checked in the account before the final notice is approved.

If you email us, we receive your address and whatever information you include so we can respond. Please do not include sensitive personal information unnecessarily.

Website delivery

The hosting and image-delivery services receive technical request data, such as IP address, browser information, requested files and access times, to deliver and protect the website. The saved release covers, video thumbnails, photographs, logos and brand fonts are served with the site. No third-party font service is used.

To check for new releases, the page requests the existing public release feed from Google Sheets and the artwork manifest from Meaningwave.com. These services receive technical request data. When a new release has verified artwork, its image may load from the image-delivery address supplied by Meaningwave’s artwork manifest. If an update is unavailable or its artwork fails validation, the saved releases remain visible. Final hosting and log-retention details must be added before launch.

YouTube and your choice

The page does not load an embedded YouTube player until you allow it. Allowing the player connects your browser to Google/YouTube, disclosing your IP address, browser information, this site’s origin and activity in the player. YouTube may use cookies or similar storage for playback, security, measurement and advertising. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player, which limits personalization; this is not a promise that Google receives no data.

You can keep the player blocked without losing access to the rest of the website. You can also use the direct “Watch the Music Videos” link to leave this site and watch on YouTube. Google’s privacy policy and YouTube’s terms apply to its service.

Cookies and tracking

The site’s own code does not set tracking cookies or load advertising pixels or visitor analytics. Kit’s browser helper and visual-template embed are not loaded on page visits. The email form contacts Kit only when you submit it. A final check of the hosting and image-service responses is needed before publishing any broader “cookie-free” claim.

To show a different portrait background on your next visit, this browser remembers only the previous background colour in local storage. This display preference contains no visitor identifier, timestamp or browsing history and is not used for analytics. You can remove it by clearing this site’s stored browser data. If storage is unavailable, the page chooses a background without remembering it.

Social and streaming buttons are ordinary links, not tracking widgets. Following them takes you to another provider, whose privacy and cookie practices apply. This site does not change its own behaviour in response to a Do Not Track signal because its own code does not track browsing across sites. The implementation must be reviewed if analytics, advertising, profiling or additional embeds are introduced.

Purposes, retention and international processing

For the final notice, the proposed bases are consent for requested email marketing and optional embedded media, and legitimate interests in answering enquiries and delivering a secure website. Any applicable contractual or legal duties must also be recorded. Service providers may process information in the United States and elsewhere; the applicable provider agreements and international-transfer safeguards must be confirmed before launch.

The retention schedule is not yet finalised. It must cover active subscriptions, unconfirmed signups, opt-out and consent records, enquiries and security logs. Unsubscribing stops marketing but does not necessarily erase the minimum record needed to honour the opt-out. We will not promise a deletion period until the actual account and hosting settings have been verified.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, withdraw consent, or object to its use by emailing enquiries@meaningwave.com. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict processing and obtain a portable copy. We may need to verify a request before acting on it. You can complain to the relevant data-protection authority where applicable. Browsing the website does not require a newsletter subscription or permission to load YouTube.

The final notice will identify its effective date. Material changes will be described here and, where required, communicated directly to affected subscribers.
